🌟 Going Home, Woody! 🌟

Lovely little Woody the 5-month-old Irish Terrier has now finished her 2-week training stay with us, and what a fantastic start she’s had to her training journey! 🐾💛

Over her stay, we’ve been working hard on her manners and calmness, especially around greetings. Woody can get very excited and loves to jump up, but she’s learning that keeping four paws on the floor and greeting politely is much more rewarding. Her recall has also come on beautifully — she’s been checking in much more reliably, even when she’s full of beans!

We’ve spent lots of time focusing on her lead walking too. Woody is such a keen, energetic pup, but she’s beginning to understand where we’d like her to be and is already walking with a much nicer rhythm.

Impulse control has been another big focus, as this will be so important at home with the chickens and rabbits. We’ve worked on helping her pause, think, and make better choices instead of going straight into chase mode — and she’s showing some really promising progress. Living in the countryside means she’s also had plenty of exposure to different livestock, which has been such a valuable part of her early training and socialisation.

Woody is such a bright, cheeky character who has really grown in confidence and skill during her stay. She’s made a brilliant start to her training foundations, and with consistency at home she’s going to go from strength to strength.
